Knowing where to start marketing your business is often the most difficult part of creating a marketing strategy. Beacon Marketing has developed a process that makes marketing easier and more accessible to our clients. Our process combines our unique methodology with our experience and expertise to create custom marketing strategies for our clients.
Here is our process:
We review your current strategy to understand what is and what is not working. If you have a marketing company that manages your website, email marketing, or social media, we will speak with them to get a better understanding of what they are doing for you. We will also determine whether there is a better way to utilize their tools to help you reach your marketing goals.
Identify Target Audience:
We identify your target audience to ensure your message is aligned with the interests of the customers you are trying to attract. If it isn’t, we will work with you to craft a message that better targets your most profitable customers.
Study Competition and Outline Competitive Advantage:
By understanding your local and national competition, we can see industry trends and determine what you should and should not be doing. We also get a better idea of your competitive advantage, which will help us craft a message that will set you apart from your competitors.
Together, we will create a list of goals, or Beacons. Then, using information gathered about your business, target audience, current marketing strategy, and competition, Beacon Marketing will develop a marketing strategy just for your business. This strategy will be highly customized and flexible in order to meet the changing needs of your business. There are no cut-and-paste, fit-you-in-the-box marketing strategies here.
Create a Timeline (Itinerary):
We will create a marketing calendar, or Itinerary, that outlines a series of events to occur in the first 6-8 weeks to help you implement your new marketing strategy.
Once the strategy has been implemented completely, Beacon will speak with you and closely review analytics. Doing so will allow us to do the following:
* Understand what is working so we can continue and possibly build on the most effective strategies.
* See what strategies are working, but could be better. This give us the opportunity to make improvements to strategies we feel could be doing better.
* Determine what is not working. If something is not working, we need to stop and consider pivoting from that strategy to something that may be more effective.
Beacon Marketing is happy to work with any marketing company with which you are currently working. Our goal is not to replace them but rather ensure that you are getting the most out of their services. If you do not have a marketing company you are working with or are looking to make a change, we can help you evaluate your options and make a decision that will work for you and your business.
